Easter at Broad Street Ministry

April 3, 2015

Join Broad Street Ministry’s resident faith community this Sunday, April 5th at 4:00pm to celebrate Easter.

On Easter, we pull out all the stops; exceptional music, inspiring preaching, and a reception to celebrate the Resurrection and meet new friends.  If you haven’t come to church in a while, if you’re not sure what you think about God or the church, if you’re looking for a place where everyone is welcome, then this is the place for you.

Rev. Bill Golderer, our Convening Minister, will be preaching on John 20:1-23.  His meditation is titled “What would you attempt if you had the power of the spirit?”  Our choir will be leading us in everything from the soaring Easter anthem “Jesus Christ is Risen Today” to Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration,” Johnny Cash’s haunting “Ain’t no Grave,” Bruce Springsteen’s “The Rising,” plus a few surprises you’re not going to want to miss.

The bottom line at BSM: No matter who you are, you belong here.  Our worshiping community is multi-racial, many ages, and socioeconomically diverse.  Some of us have PhD’s in theology and some have never been to church before.  Some of us are LGBTQ or straight allies, and some of us are figuring it out.  Some of us have loved church from the day we were born and some of us have always hated churches and preachers for their hypocrisy.

It’s all here under one roof.  And there’s always room for one more.

Broad Street Ministry is a broad-minded faith community committed to extending radical hospitality and creating a spiritual home for all, especially those who feel like they don’t belong anywhere else.  To learn more about Broad Street Ministry, visit www.broadstreetministry.org.
